What this slide is
The title card and framing for Demo 2 — Toby Rush (Ideem, founder/CEO) presenting OpenClaw + Obsidian as a paired stack for deal triage and pipeline vigilance. Solo presenter, distinct vibe from Demo 1 (Cortado was VC-side, joint, firm-impact-themed; Toby is founder-side, solo, pipeline-flow-themed).
The slide is the title card for the demo segment — the actual workflow demo happens live in screen-share.
Why it’s here
Lightning Demo 2, after Cortado’s firm-impact angle. Toby’s demo brings a complementary perspective:
- Different tools — OpenClaw + Obsidian instead of Claude Teams. Audience sees that the agentic-VC toolkit isn’t a monoculture.
- Different problem — pipeline vigilance and deal triage (the “stay current on what you’ve already seen” problem), not firm operations.
- Different vantage — a founder showing the workflow he uses to be a builder, which happens to also describe what an investor’s pipeline should look like. The inversion is the lesson.
What to surface
- Toby’s name + Ideem + Founder/CEO role, distinct from the Cortado team’s “Kauffman Fellow” chip. The audience should register this is a founder demoing to VCs.
- The two-tool pair — OpenClaw + Obsidian — with a one-line role for each (engine + memory). Logos if available.
- The “vigilant pipeline management” phrase — that’s the load-bearing concept. Borrowed from the user’s own framing.
- The workflow-summary one-paragraph — concrete enough that the audience can picture it before the demo starts. Not a list, a flow.
- The “why a founder is demoing to VCs” framing — explains the inversion. Audience should understand this isn’t a tools talk; it’s a “watch how a builder thinks about staying current” talk.
- Time signature: ~10 minutes, often runs long. Same caveat as 06a.
Visual hierarchy suggestion
- Top: big headline “OpenClaw + Obsidian for deal triage and vigilant pipeline management” — could be two lines, with the ”+” sign visually accented (a literal
+between tool names is the workflow’s signature). - Middle row: one presenter card centered (vs. 06a’s two-up). Toby’s headshot, name, Ideem chip with “Founder & CEO” subtitle.
- Below presenter: two tool blocks side-by-side, each with logo (if available) + name + one-line purpose. Visual cue: an arrow or
+between them suggests they compose. - Below tools: the workflow-summary paragraph as a small framed callout, italicized.
- Bottom row: topics covered as a short bullet list, low-emphasis.
- Footer: “Lightning demo · 2 of 2” eyebrow chip in lower-right. Helps audience know the demos are done after this one — breakouts come next.
