Start from an organization, not a spreadsheet

Search straight to any organization you already know, see everything on file — links, feeds, sources, people — and grow any of it with a click. Add a team member and their connection to the org is recorded for you.

Most research tools make you start from a file. Augment It now lets you start from what you already know: pick an organization, and one screen shows its website and social profiles, the blogs and newsrooms it publishes through, the source materials you’ve collected, and the people connected to it.

Everything on that screen grows in place. Paste a link and it files itself under the right heading. Click the search icon next to any list and a search panel opens beside the card — the search phrase stays editable, because you often know a better way to word it — and any result you like joins the list in one click. Add a person to the organization and their affiliation is recorded automatically, roles and all.

Blogs get one more trick: press scan on any publication feed and Augment It reads it fresh, marks what you’ve already collected, and lets you pull in just the new pieces. Keeping up with an organization’s output becomes a thirty-second habit instead of an afternoon.

Real reports are messier than a tidy link, and Augment It handles that. When the link is a summary page but the actual report is a separate PDF — often locked behind a “verify you’re human” wall — just drop in the file you downloaded yourself. It files itself under the right source, keeps the page you’d cite, and even shrinks a bloated 30MB report down to something sensible. Fix a title, rename a file, add a tag like Impact-of-AI exactly the way you typed it — every change lands in your library and in the file on disk at the same time, so what you see is always what’s saved.
