Run flave on your own machine
flave is pre-MVP: it works, on one person's laptop, and the point of this section is to make that two. Pick your system below. Each guide starts from a clean install and ends with the desktop app open in front of you.

On Ubuntu and have Nix too? Either guide works. The Nix one is shorter and touches nothing outside the repo.
How we work
- Branch from
development, and open PRs back into it.mainandmasterare promotion tiers, not places to commit. - Why things are the way they are lives in Context: the master spec, the phase plans, and every decision with its date and reasoning.
- What changed and when lives in the Changelog. Ship something, write an entry.
- Agents are expected. The repo is built to be co-authored with Claude Code, or any agent, running beside the editor.
